Welcome to Global LT Winter Kids' Club!
Below is all of the information you need to know for our Winter Kids' Club!
We hope you love your personalized materials bag you received in the mail and can't wait to meet you!

Welcome Parents!
We're so excited you enrolled your child in this fun program and can't wait to help them along their language learning journey! Here are some helpful tips to set your child up for success:
-
Please make sure all items remain in their bags until the time to use them to avoid losing/misplacing the items.
-
Some of our packing materials may look silly! In line with our sustainability initiative, we use recycled materials such as white envelope halves and are minimizing printing things out on paper. If printing is necessary, we use 100% recycled paper.
-
Depending on your child's age, parent assistance may be needed for some projects.
-
Parental supervision is required for young children as materials contain small parts!
Winter Wonderland
Tuesday, January 14 at 7pm US EST/6pm CST/4pm PST – OR – Saturday, January 18 at 11am EST/10am CST/8am PST
Supplies Needed
(Items in green do not come in the box as they are items you can easily find at home or are perishable)
-
paper plate
-
cotton balls
-
small piece of orange pipe cleaner
-
popsicle sticks
-
sequins
-
scissors
-
white glue
-
blue and/or light blue markers

Activity 1: Grow with Kindness Sunflower
Glue pieces of the sunflower together and help kids write those things they can do to show kindness to themselves and others. You might need to write the phrases on a piece of paper and show them so they can copy.
If you did not receive the box because you are in a country outside of the US: cut the shapes of the sunflower leaves and center out of yellow and brown construction paper.

Activity 2: All About Me Box
Use construction paper to cover the top of a box. Kids can write their name and “All About Me” on the lid of the box, they can put stickers on it or decorate the box however they want. Now, they should find some things to put inside the box, things they like or things that describe them. For example: I am from Argentina so I would put an Argentinian flag in the box or I would draw an Argentinian flag. I love the color purple, so I would put something purple in the box. I love going to the beach so I would put a picture of me and my family at the beach, or a shell I found at the beach. The idea is that kids will tell everyone about the items in the box so that other kids get to know him/her. They can use this activity to make new friends.

Great stories have a personality. Consider telling a great story that provides personality. Writing a story with personality for potential clients will assist with making a relationship connection. This shows up in small quirks like word choices or phrases. Write from your point of view, not from someone else's experience.
Great stories are for everyone even when only written for just one person. If you try to write with a wide, general audience in mind, your story will sound fake and lack emotion. No one will be interested. Write for one person. If it’s genuine for the one, it’s genuine for the rest.
